AI and your data.

Wonder uses AI only when you ask it to, only with what you’ve chosen to share, and never to train anyone’s models.

What uses AI

• Wonder’s notes: a few notes on the day ahead, drawn from your writing, goals, intentions and the calendar and meetings you share.
• Reflections: a look back over a day or a week, when you ask for one.
• Annotations: once a day is over, a word or two circled with a line and a small drawing beside it, made from that day’s writing alone.
• Doodles: a small drawing in the margin of words you select and ask for, made from those words and the entry they’re in.

All of them use Claude, made by Anthropic, through our server. Drawings are made once and kept, encrypted, with your journal; highlighting words uses no AI. Search, the timeline, suggested links and everything else run on your device without AI.

What’s sent, and what isn’t

• Only the material for that day or week, chosen on your device, within a size limit: never your whole journal.
• Email addresses and phone numbers are removed first unless you turn that off.
• You choose, per connector, whether its content goes into notes; calendars can send titles only.
• Nothing is sent while notes are off; reflections and doodles are made only when you ask.

What happens to it

• We don’t store or log what’s sent or what comes back.
• Anthropic processes it under [zero data retention] terms and doesn’t use it to train models.
• We never use your journal to train models, ours or anyone’s.

What it can’t do

AI in Wonder can suggest, never act on its own: an intention it suggests is only set when you tap it, and text other people wrote (invites, meeting notes) is treated as material, never as instructions. Notes and reflections can be wrong; they’re a prompt for your own thinking, not advice.

AI apps you connect

If you connect an app such as Claude or ChatGPT (over MCP), it reads only what you allowed, while Wonder is open, and Wonder asks you before it writes anything. What that app does with it is under your agreement with its maker.
