Draft for legal review. Nothing here is final until this notice is gone; items in [brackets] are still to be decided.
Terms of service.
These terms are between you and [legal entity name] (“we”). By creating an account or using Wonder you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Your account
You need to be at least [16] and to give us a real email address. Keep your password, and your recovery key if you make one, safe. Your journal is end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot recover it for you: if you lose your password (or journal passphrase) and your recovery key, the copy we hold can’t be opened by anyone, though the journal on your devices is unaffected.
Your writing
What you write is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, sync and process it to run Wonder for you, and we can’t read it anyway. You can export all of it at any time.
Wonder’s notes, reflections and agents
Notes and reflections are written by an AI model from your own material. They can be wrong or miss things; treat them as a prompt, not advice. If you connect an app or agent to your journal, you choose what it may do, and its own terms apply to what it does with what it reads.
Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial of everything. No card is needed to start it.
- After that, Wonder’s notes and reflections need a subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from your account page. You keep what you’ve paid for until the end of the period, and aren’t charged again.
- If a payment fails, paid features carry on for 7 days while you sort it out, then pause until it’s paid.
- Whatever happens to your subscription, your journal stays yours to read, write, sync and export.
- Refunds: [if you’re in the UK or EU, you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund; otherwise, we don’t refund part-used periods, but write to [support contact email] if something has gone wrong]. [Founder to decide.]
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least [30] days before it applies to you.
The detail is in Refunds and cancellation.
Using Wonder fairly
Don’t use Wonder to break the law, to attack or overload it, to get into other people’s accounts, or to resell it. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why unless the law stops us. The acceptable use policy says more.
The service
We work to keep Wonder available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Features may change; if we stop offering Wonder, we’ll give you at least [60] days’ notice to export your journal.
Ending
You can delete your account whenever you like. We may end these terms if you seriously break them, or with [60] days’ notice for any other reason, refunding any unused period you’ve paid for.
Liability
[Limitation of liability, and what it can’t limit under consumer law — for legal review.]
The law
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction]. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live. Questions: [support contact email].
